Non-Sports Enrichment
The Enrichment Team provide students with an opportunity to participate in other activities alongside their chosen course.
This ranges from participating in different types of sports and activities, to managing the Student Lounge areas, and joining several different clubs and societies.
We organise cross college competitions in sport, outdoor activities, and opportunities for you to gain extra qualifications whilst enjoying yourself.
The Enrichment Programme runs across both sites enabling all HRC students to benefit from this.
We can be found in the Student Enrichment Offices across both sites, located in the Student Lounge.
So please come to see us for more information regarding existing events, or for your suggestions.
Please meet the Enrichment Team who are available on both sites for you to speak to:
Jo Barnas - Student Liaison Officer, Broxbourne Campus: jbarnas@hrc.ac.uk
Mark Deeks - Student Liaison Officer, Ware Campus: mdeeks@hrc.ac.uk
Gurps Bansal - Sports Development Officer, Cross-College: gbansal@hrc.ac.uk
Off-site Enrichment
The Enrichment Team offer a full programme throughout the year for offsite activities.
It is available to all students, so please speak to your tutor or one of the Student Liaison Officers for more information.
Extra Qualifications
We offer the opportunity for students to gain an extra qualification during their time at college.
The Enrichment Team delivers the Community Sports Leadership Level 2 award. This is a valuable qualification that can be added to your UCAS application or CV. We also provided students the opportunity to gain a First Aid qualification. This happens on campus and so is convenient, as they don't have to spend money to travel anywhere. In addition, this is a fantastic qualification to gain as students learn a new skill and learn how to deal with particular situations.
We also give you the opportunity to gain a qualification offsite with external agencies - last year we arranged for our students to have the opportunity to gain a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
Cross College Competitions
Represent HRC whilst studying at college. This is for any student from any course and if you're keen, we are there to support you.
If you are interested in participating in any competitions or matches, then please see the Enrichment Team at either site for more information.
Look out for updates and information about upcoming matches or competitions throughout the year.
External Information Stands
We have different stands internal and external throughout the year on both sites. They promote current National Campaigns, Charity Workshops and Community Projects. Please let the Student Liaison Officer know if you would like to run your own stand.
