Every student at HRC has access to our Student Assistance Programme (SAP). It offers a 24/7 free and confidential helpline- 0800 028 3766. 

They can support on a host of issues such as:

  • Physical and mental wellbeing
  • Stress & anxiety
  • Debt
  • Legal issues
  • Relationships
  • Addictions
  • Education pressures

Also download the My Healthy Advantage app which can be found in both the iPhone and android app stores. The app offers ways to help improve you physical and mental health. Once you have downloaded the app use the

The Health Assured support line is a separate service offered to students of Hertford Regional College. Health Assured provides a confidential service and the information users discuss with their helpline support workers is not routinely provided to the College unless their health, wellbeing or welfare is judged to be at imminent risk. In these circumstances and where the support worker thinks you need additional support they will seek your consent to share your name and information about their concerns with the Safeguarding Team so that they can provide you with further help. In some circumstances where you are not able to provide consent or where you refuse consent, Health Assured may still decide to share relevant information with the College where it is necessary to protect your or another person’s vital interests. This approach is consistent with the Colleges Confidentiality Procedure which in signing on to a course students are subject to.
